Licenciado em Língua e Cultura Portuguesa pela Universidade de Lisboa e doutor em Didática das Línguas pela Universidade Nova de Lisboa. Ensina Língua e Cultura Portuguesa desde 2003, tendo lecionado na Universidade de Toronto, na Universidade de Lisboa e no Instituto Português do Oriente. Desde 2022, é professor assistente na Universidade da Cidade de Macau, onde ensina quatro níveis da disciplina de Prática de Conversação em Língua Portuguesa.
