Educação em Português e Migrações consists of 10 articles drawn from different migration contexts, with the Portuguese Language (LP) as the common denominator. Throughout the book, with the exception of the first article, which is transversal to the others, various migration contexts are specified: Portuguese, Brazilian, Cape Verdean and French. If at times it is LP that emigrates (French context and Cape Verdean context), at others, the subjects immigrate into LP, i.e. towards the native territories in an immersion situation (Portuguese and Brazilian contexts). All these texts are set in the context of issues in Education in Portuguese.

Maria Helena Ançã
Licenciada em Linguística (Filologia Românica), pela Faculdade de Letras de Lisboa (1976), tendo obtido o Diplôme d`Etudes Approfondies (Linguistique et Didactique des Langues Vivantes) pela Université des Langues et Lettres de Grenoble III/França, em 1981. Em 1991, obteve o grau de Doutor em Ciências da Educação/Didáctica do Português, pela Universidade de Aveiro, onde é, actualmente Professora Associada, com agregação, no Departamento de Didáctica e Tecnologia Educativa/Educação. É ainda investigadora do CIDTFF - Centro de Investigação Didáctica e Tecnologia na Formação de Formadores e Coordenadora Principal do LEIP - Laboratório de Investigação em Educação em Português (responsável pela Linha 2: PLNM). É autora de diversas publicações e apresenta regularmente a sua investigação em congressos nacionais e internacionais.
