Chairs, Portuguese Language Centres and Lectureships exist or are to be created, and for the promotion of teacher training activities. Under this partnership, around 1,300 titles have already been purchased to equip more than 25 Portuguese Language Centres in various countries. Through this programme, Lidel, Edições Técnicas, Lda also supported training initiatives for primary, secondary and higher education teachers in several countries, including South Africa, Namibia, Eswatini, Zimbabwe and Botswana. With the renewal of this Protocol, it will be possible to reach more students from various geographical areas in the coming years, with the aim of strengthening the strategy for the internationalisation of the Portuguese language and culture. ‘We have been delighted to support this programme since its inception. As a publisher specialising in PFL for 37 years, it is our mission to contribute to the promotion and appreciation of the Portuguese language by producing quality materials designed for learners around the world.’ Rita Annes |
